Under the mutual cooperation agreement signed in 2017,Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (“APU”, Beppu City, Oita), Fundokin Shoyu Co., Ltd. (“Fundokin”, Usuki City, Oita) and  INSPiRE Corporation. (Minato-ku, Tokyo), with the significant support of the Oita Bank, Ltd. (Oita City, Oita), held a ceremony to announce the completion of 3 types of new dressing products. This is the second case of a product development collaboration between students and companies, focusing on a culture-oriented industry-academia partnership.

In the two years since the spread of Covid-19, our lifestyle has changed in the way that people work from home, take online classes, wear masks and stay home more often. As a result, people have become more aware of their mental and physical health as well as the “food” they consume. Under these circumstances, we focused on the fact that there are many people who wish to consume fruits for their health, but are not able to intake them for various reasons. We developed our fruit dressing products with three lifestyle concepts, aiming to provide these people with an opportunity to spend their every day in an “easier and healthier” way. In the ceremony, stories were shared about the background of the development and our successful collaboration in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic.
